Why I chose to be a Division Director:
I’ve saw it as an opportunity to better the organization my kids and others play in and a chance to give back to a sport that gave me so much. As tee ball director, I know I’m the first baseball a kid may ever play and making it fun, engaging, and informative is important.
What I love about Little League Baseball:
I love the nostalgia of little league baseball. It is a fundamental part of who we are as American’s. In addition, this is a place for kids, coaches, and parents to develop and make life long friends.
Why I love coaching Little League Baseball:
I love watching these young ball players develop and generate an authentic love for the game of baseball. One thing that always excites me is the unknown of which kids will flourish and potentially have an opportunity to play baseball at a higher level. I know my time with each kid is short, but if I can make a small impact and generate a love for the game, then it’s always worth it to coach.
About Doug Johnson:
My name is Doug Johnson, I am from Rosharon, TX and have lived and grown up in this area for over 20 years. I have a wonderful wife and two young children, one of which is a giant fan of Alvin little league baseball and the Houston Astros. When we aren’t spending our time on the diamond, we like to enjoy our time boating and fishing on the beautiful Texas coast.
