Little League was established in 1952 and has enjoyed 60 years
of continuous service to the boys and girls of Alvin.

Little League provides the youth of the Alvin area a great baseball
experience. Alvin Little League is known for fun, exciting, and
action-filled baseball played by outstanding youngsters! Our goal
for our players is to develop a strong foundation in the principles
of sportsmanship and teamwork, and most importantly, to have fun
learning to play baseball. |

My son was the third baseman for the Rosenberg National Little League team 9U that lost to Alvin on Friday evening June 4, 2010 in Sugar Land. The purpose of this message is to commend the Alvin team for their victory and to say that I have been involved in little league baseball both as a player, coach and umpire. The coaches of your 9U team showed more class than any All-Star team that I have been around. They came over to our boys after the game and addressed them as a team and commended them on their play and determination. I was stunned but yet pleasantly surprised at this gesture. It was a first class gesture by first class coaches. It spoke very well of the charachter of your Little League. Your organization is better for these coaches and their actions yesterday. I would really appreciate it if someone could pass this on to them. I wish your 9U kids all of the success in the world.
